Wording for monetary engagement gift thank yous? - how to word thank yous in a wedding program
My friend and I recently completed a engagement party. Most of the donations in cash or by check. All the sites I've seen have said that using notes on how the money. How should I word this?
Our wedding took place in May 2010. So I said to myself:
Thank you for your generous donation commitment. It will be very helpful to us during our busy year in sight .... (or "will be very useful for us in planning for the big day." or something .......)
Thoughts? Other ideas?

The correct etiquette is to recognize the gift of money to pretend as if they do not have cash, and instead of thanking them for what they bought (or planning to purchase) with these agents.

Do not say you use to pay for his wedding. Pay for Marriage is the sole responsibility of the host and potential host does not contribute in any way. Engagement gifts are not intended to be a wedding that will be used to buy gifts for the couple to say --- cover the court-martial books, household items, the last trip as a couple (dinner, events, etc..)
I like the first option. It sounds a little better. The second leads, too many details and information. When I received the money for my own commitment of time, always told me to read, thank you cards:

Thank you for your generous donation. It will certainly be useful for us this year. We hope that our wedding day!
